Science Intensive - Room 9
Today, we were taken to room 9 for their fun and exciting science intensive. The overall topic in Miss Smith's class was 'make up'. She took us threw slides and showed us some makeup which were used on stage and in movies. We had the chance to sketch our very own makeup look on a piece of paper. It could be anything we desired. It could be a superhero or something really simple like an animal. I chose to create a Halloween themed look. Once we finished, the whole of room 7 were finally taken to the art room to paint and finish off. The final result was fantastic!
What I learnt:
Stage makeup is very important to highlight or capture facial features under big bright lights. Make up is not only used for woman but are used by many male actors, singers and k pop idols to make their skin look naturally flawless.

Science Intensive
Today, my class room 8 went to room 7 (Mrs Tofas Class) for science intensive. For the whole day we have been learning about insulation. It is very important to insulate your houses and if you'd want to you can even do it yourself. Here is a slideshow down below showing how you can insulate your home, why you have to insulate your home and where you need to insulate your home. I will also show you a google drawing on how much heat you loose when your house is not insulated.

Science Intensive : Molecules made out of Marshmallows
In our class we made molecules/atoms out of Marshmallow. In the photo you can see 2 pink marshmallows on the top which are the Hydrogen atoms and the one white marshmallow is the Oxygen atom. The 2 pink marshmallows are bit smaller than the white because they have less protons than the white one. That is why it looks a bit like mickey mouse.

Science Intensive
In Science Intensive room 8 went for a field trip around the school with clean paper towels. Guess why we needed the paper towels. Yes! We used it to wipe different surfaces around the school to see how much dust or dirt is on it. Obviously you cant see the dirt in the air but it goes onto different surfaces and makes it dirty. Here our our final results

Can you see the Difference?
