The 1300's - Asia and Africa
In our class we have been learning about the 1300’s. A friend and I have been looking at the main events that has happened in Asia. Here are some mains events…
  • The Great wall of china was formed/built/reconstructed
  • Japan Invades Korea
  • Famine in Russia kills 2 million
  • Earthquake in Shanghai, China kills approximately 830,000
  • China's Population reaches 295 million
  • Civil War erupts japan causing the country to split
  • Forbidden city constructed/formed in Beijing

I was also very interested in the main events in Africa, so here are some main events…
  • Zimbabwe is constructed/formed
  • African slaves begin being transported across the Atlantic
  • Morocco invades Mali
  • Freetown founded on west African coast
  • Rosetta Stone discovered
  • Ghana Empire reaches height of power

    You have found heaps of facts about Asia! Remember that some of these events happened later in history; between 1300 and 1800. What do you think the population of China is today?
