Method

Slice in half

Top off with cheese and tomato

Bake for 10 minutes

Serve with tomato sauce

Act of Kindness from Glen Taylor School

Today, room 7 received goodies from the amazing Glen Taylor school. A group of students from their class came to room 7 explaining to us their project on giving back to their local community. The goodies we received were home made cookies, brownies and some lollies. As an act of kindness, we decided to give them a thank you letter as well as a plant that we planted during our trip to the botanical gardens. Room 7 were very grateful for their act of kindness and we appreciate the hard work they put into making the goodies specifically for us. Thank You!

 

Botanical Gardens

Responding to Current Events

Our class has focused a lot on the teachers strike this week. My presentation above includes tasks that our class has done about the teacher strike ( such as argument writing)  and ways I was able to share my learning with others.

Food Tech - Brownies

Brownies

Ingredients :

Brown sugar

Butter

Cocoa powder

Flour

Baking powder

Vanilla essence

Materials :

Bowl

Whisk

Scraper

Measuring cups

Measuring spoons

Microwave

Baking tin

Cooking rack

Method :

Dry ingredients -

Step 1 : Pour in 1 cup of plain flour, along with 1 tsp of baking powder

Step 2 : Add in 1/4 of cocoa and 2 tbsp of shredded coconut

Step 3 : Mix well

Wet ingredients -

Step 1 : Pour in 1/2 cup of brown sugar then add in 125g of melted butter into the bowl.

Step 2 : Mix the brown sugar and melted butter until it's perfectly combined.

Step 3 : Add in 1 egg and 1 tbsp of vanilla essence.

Step 4 : Mix well until u get a caramel texture.

Step 5 : add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and 1 egg

Mix your wet and dry ingredients together and place in cake tin. Spread with a plastic scraper

Place in oven at 180 degrees and bake for 10 mins! ENJOY!

Maths - Measurement

In this maths exercise, that we found in a figure it out book, we learnt the proper way of using measuring tapes. Myself, and two friends measured different parts of our bodies and wrote down the exact measurements. Our measurements are down below!
